Alex Nunez

Chief Financial Officer

With over 25 years of experience in the health care industry, Alex began his career as an accountant for a large regional health insurance company. Since then, he has held leadership roles across both public and private sectors, gaining deep expertise in self-insured and self-administered health plans, including medical, pharmacy, and dental coverage.

Alex’s diverse background includes managing the financial operations of a Physician Hospital Organization (PHO) with fully delegated risk from major insurers and serving as CFO for a Medicare Advantage plan. He also held CFO positions at the administrator of Arizona’s Medicaid behavioral health contract—serving more than 600,000 individuals in the Phoenix metro area—and at a large, successful accountable care organization co-owned by two major health systems.

This broad exposure to multiple dimensions of health care sparked Alex’s passion for aligning strategic, value-based care models with strong financial and operational performance. In recent years, he has focused on consulting with organizations seeking to implement innovative care delivery models that prioritize patient outcomes.
